We believe that by doing this we will produce well trained, capable candidates who will have a stronger focus and understanding of patient safety when they establish their private practice
LTI is led by Mr Taimur Shoaib, a Senior Consultant Plastic surgeon who is a worldwide Key Opinion Leader for Allergan, one of the largest suppliers of dermal fillers in the world and the manufacturer of the world’s leading Botulinum Toxin product. Our courses are a mixture of engaging online tutorials and lively face-to-face practical sessions to optimise the learning experience.
La Belle Forme have been delivering training courses to aesthetics professionals for 10 years through various forums and organisations and we have decided that in order to guarantee the quality of courses and their content going forward, we will only deliver these courses through LTI.
We offer state-of-the-art training facilities at the Glasgow Day Surgery Centre with trainers who have been trained and approved by Mr Shoaib. These trainers have years of training experience and are well equipped to deliver an outstanding training programme.

We have an award-winning team at LTI.
Our medical director is Taimur Shoaib and he is unique in that he is a multi-award-winning consultant plastic surgeon who performs cosmetic injectables on a regular basis and is an international trainer for Allergan, the manufacturer of the world’s leading Botulinum Toxin product and Juvederm dermal fillers.
He leads a team of qualified registered general nurses and administrative staff who have also been trained by him and who will also be involved in your training.

Taimur Shoaib – Medical Director
Taimur Shoaib is a senior consultant plastic surgeon and has been training healthcare professionals in the use of Botulinum Toxin and Fillers for 10 years, with over 2000 healthcare professionals benefitting from his expertise. Over the course of his career he has trained plastic surgeons in surgery, allied healthcare professionals and medical students in all aspects of plastic surgery including medical aesthetics. He is one of seven senior trainers at the Allergan Medical Institute where he trains in the advanced use of Juvéderm fillers.
Fiona Gibson – Senior Aesthetic Nurse
Fiona is a qualified RGN who has over 4 years experience as an Aesthetic Nurse at LBF, administering Fillers and Botulinum Toxin injections and is also involved with LBF’s cosmetic surgery patients. Fiona has been involved in our training programmes for more than 3 years and in that time has trained more than 100 candidates.
Dr Rita Poddar – Thread Lifting Specialist Trainer
Rita trained at Faculty of Medicine Glasgow University and is a Dentist and Cosmetic Dental Surgeon with a special interest in Cosmetic Dermatology and Facial Aesthetics.
She has over 20 years of clinical experience in cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetics and aesthetics training, during which time she founded The Peppermint Group, which is a multi-award winning group of dental and aesthetics clinics.
Rita also undertook specialist training and gained a diploma with Dr Zein Obagi in Beverly Hills, USA and is currently a ZO Skinhealth UK faculty member. She has an extensive practice in non-surgical facelifts and anti-ageing treatments, being the first certified clinician in Scotland carrying out the Obagi ZO Controlled Depth Designer Blue Peel.
Mike Murphy – Specialist Laser Trainer
Mike started in medical laser clinical research in 1986 as part of a Ph.D. course in the Bioengineering Unit at Strathclyde University in conjunction with Canniesburn Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit.
Mike became involved in the medical laser research programmme because, as a physicist, his knowledge of lasers was key to developing medical applications for these devices. As part of this programme, he was a member of the team which was the first in the world to develop the scar-free removal of tattoos using Q-switched laser technology.
Mike founded Dermalase in 1998 which provides equipment and support for the Scottish market, where many Laser and IPL devices are used within the cosmetics and aesthetics sector. During the last 20 years Mike has provided training courses on equipment and procedures across the industry and also offers ongoing support, service and maintenance programmes for those companies who own laser-based devices.
We offer all our training course at the Glasgow Day Surgery Centre, which has 6 treatment rooms and a dedicated training suite for the teaching part of our training programmes.
