Our injecting courses follow a model of theory followed by practical training.

Our theory sessions are delivered via video tutorials and each tutorial has been written by and is delivered by Taimur Shoaib, consultant plastic surgeon and the medical director of The La Belle Forme Training Institute.

You can choose to attend one course at a time, giving you the benefit of a training seminar followed by a practical training session and expert support following your course. In addition to this, you can also subscribe to our affordable monthly training support programme for ongoing access to our training resources and training seminars.

Our courses are structured such that you are able to build up skills and injecting techniques as you progress through our range of courses

Our entry level foundation course covers basic consultation skills, the use of Botulinum Toxin to treat the upper face and fillers to treat the lips, nasolabial lines and marionette lines.

The aim of this course is to give you a basic understanding of what you can do with wrinkle relaxing injectable and fillers, and to allow you to practice on one model patient under our supervision when delivering Botulinum Toxin and filler treatments, and to give you both the confidence and the competence you need to start performing treatments in your own practice.

Once you have completed your course, you will have immediate support for one month after completing your course on a 24/7 basis. After this period, we offer a subscription support package to assist on your journey to establish your private practice.

Sometimes after completing a foundation course people find it difficult to get started in private practice and may lose some of their confidence and skills so if that happens you can come back for refresher courses and you can shadow one of our injectors during a day’s work.

This is done on a one to one basis and as with the foundation course if you have a model you wish to attend they will be scheduled into your mentor’s clinic and you will be able to inject under supervision.

Our next level of courses are available as individual modules for training and are aimed at skilling candidates in some of the more complex and challenging techniques.

As a rule of thumb LTE would only accept candidates on more advanced courses if they have been injecting regularly for at least one year and they have treated more than 30 patients within this period.

In these courses the main areas that are covered are as follows:

  • Cheek Enhancement & Contouring
  • Lip Enhancement & Contouring
  • 8 Point Lift (using needles) also known as a “Non-Surgical Facelift”
  • Eyelash Enhancement (recommended for prescribers or for those working with a prescriber)
  • How to use a cannula in your practice

Theses courses are only for highly skilled practitioners with a significant amount of experience
as the treatments in these courses focus on sensitive areas of the face such as the eyes and the nose; and in some cases, the injection areas are extensive, covering multiple facets of someone’s facial appearance. Skills and areas covered are as follows:

  • Nerve blocks for lips (recommended for prescribers or for those working with a prescriber)
  • Tear Troughs
  • Chin & Jawline Contouring
  • Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
  • 4 Syringe Packages for Peri-Orbital Rejuvenation
  • Fillers to Reduce Dynamic Lines (Note: Botulinum Toxin Is NOT Used during this course)
  • DESO Fat Dissolving Injections (Only for those practitioners skilled with cannulas)
  • Bespoke 1-1 training with Mr Shoaib for other advanced techniques (please contact us directly to arrange this)

Each of the intermediate and advanced courses are available as single modules of learning, unlike the foundation level training course, which covers everything within the module at Foundation Level. Therefore if you are undertaking an Intermediate or Advanced course it is important to contact us and discuss what your requirements are as some candidates my wish to focus on certain skills and areas rather than look at multiple areas, and this can be accommodated.

This is a specialist one-day course which will give the candidates the opportunity to dissect a fresh cadaver face to gain knowledge of the general anatomy of the face, including muscle structure, fat compartments and the neuro-vascular system of the face.

The course starts with a lecture covering 3D anatomy of the full face accompanied by a video demonstration looking at dermal filler treatment to the upper, mid and lower areas of the face.

Following the theory section, candidates will be given the opportunity to inject advanced dermal filler into a fresh cadaver face. This practical session will allow the candidates to gain a solid understanding the importance and effect of correct product selection and placement, the anatomy of the area being injected and why different techniques are used in different areas. This course is intended to provide candidates with an in depth understanding of facial anatomy which in turn will allow them to safely deliver more advanced treatments and exercise their best judgement in order to avoid post treatment complications. Should complications arise this training will also provide insight into how to treat these complications.

Cadaver courses are held either at the labs at Glasgow or Edinburgh Universities and the course lasts for a total of 2 days.

LTI are delighted to partner with Dermalase Training Services to offer a range of laser and IPL  training courses from mandatory training such as Core of Knowledge through to specific machine and procedure training.

In clinics that are regulated by their national healthcare regulators it is a basic mandatory training requirement for all practitioners offering Laser and IPL based treatments. Most insurance companies also require this course as part of their insurance requirements.

Core of Knowledge covers a range of topics that all laser / IPL users are expected to know – ranging from fundamentals of laser and light devices, through to risk assessment and the roles of Laser Protection Advisers (LPA) and Supervisors. The key focus of this course is to give the practitioners / user the fundamental knowledge to allow them to use a Laser / IPL system safely and effectively.

This is typically a half day course conducted as a group of up to 5 people.

Laser Safety Officer Training

Under the “Control of Artificial Optical Radiation at Work Regulations Act 2010” a suitable and sufficient risk assessment must be performed on a regular basis by a suitably trained “responsible person”. This person will be normally be designated within the site or clinic as the “Laser Safety Officer” who has overall responsibility for the safe operation of all Laser and IPL devices, by suitably trained and qualified personnel within the site. Again, for regulated healthcare providers this is a mandatory requirement.

In addition to the techniques, the method of choosing the correct laser/IPL parameters for specific conditions will be presented. This course will discuss the merits of diode lasers, IPL systems, Q-switched and picosecond lasers and various other systems currently used in modern medical/aesthetic treatments.

This is typically a one-day course conducted individually or as a group of up to 5 people

Product Specific Training

These are bespoke training courses and cover the theoretical and practical elements of carrying out either specific types of treatment or using specific pieces of equipment.

The course covers the safety aspects of using specific equipment in relation to both the user and the patients, ensuring that the appropriate eye protection is available (as this varies from laser to laser), the correct maintenance and calibrations are carried out, the correct consumables are used, the machine set up is correct for procedures being undertake.

There are many considerations involved prior to taking a new piece of equipment into use or introducing a new service with an existing piece of equipment and our step-by-step review approach will allow you to do this effectively and safely.

This is typically a one-day course conducted individually or as a group of up to 3 people at the clients premises.
